CONSULTANTS
We would recommend conducting a needs assessment on an annual basis to determine the focus of the professional development for the year for the Dual Language Immersion (DLI) Leadership Team, other district and site administrators, teachers in the DLI program, and classified staff that support the DLI program.
Districts will often reach out to a consultant who specializes in the area of DLI to provide professional development for the DLI Leadership Team on the research-based dual language education program models prior to making a decision on which to select for implementation. Consultants also provide professional development for district and site administrators as well as teachers, classified staff, parents, and community members on DLI programs.
